I began tinkering with web design around a year and a half ago using Notepad++ and HTML. Today, I still use a text editor for much of my web design because it offers the greatest flexiiblity and control over what content is placed in my pages. A good Content Management System (CMS) is still the easiest way of getting content up and running. However, I believe that you really lose a grip on the complete package of web design. Below are a couple of my web designs:
Plugin Olympia - a proposal that never got off of the ground. I suspect that the site owners like what they have. You make the call. Visit PluginOlympia.com and see for yourself.
Environmental Analysis - Fall - Developed for environmental chemistry work as an undergraduate, Fall, 2007
Environmental Analysis - Winter - Developed for environmental chemistry work as an undergraduate, Winter, 2007
Phosphate Uptake Studies - A series of 5 phosphate uptake experiments with datasets, model, and draft paper. This template was modified from an unknown source.
Walupt Lake, WA Study - A proposed study that was ready to go until the snow and wind closed road access. This template was modified from an unknown source
Mini Linux - One of my first web designs. It is pathetic. But if you are interesting in starting up with Linux, it may be worth a read.
